  • Under Donald Trump, the US has deported people at a slower rate than under Obama. Arrests of suspected illegal aliens in the US is up under Trump. [Link]
  • NBC News reports the CIA and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence agree with the DIA assessment that North Korea can miniaturize a nuclear weapon. NBC did not provide a source or any other details on the CIA and DNI findings. [Link]
  • Trump said, “North Korea better get their act together, or they are going to be in trouble like few nations have ever been in trouble.” [Link]
  • The US sailed the USS John McCain within 12 miles of an artificial island claimed by China in the South China Sea. [Link]
  • Trump said Iran was not in compliance with the P5+1 nuclear deal. Trump did not explain how Iran was violating the deal. [Link]
  • The US has so far spent $76 billion on weapons for Afghani security forces. [Link]
  • The US carried out 4,300 airstrikes against ISIS in July. This is down from the June all time high of 4,850 airstrikes. [Link]
  • Elijah Maginer reports US backed Syrian rebels that were training with US soldiers at al Tanf are now fighting for Assad with American weapons. [Link]
  • The Syrian government has carried out two airstrikes in violation of safe zones. Four civilians were killed in the two strikes. [Link]
  • US soldiers in Manbij Syrian have come under sniper fire. The soldiers are in Manbij on deterrence mission. The US hopes the US soldiers will prevent anyone from attacking the city. [Link]
  • Human traffickers moving people from Africa to Yemen forced 100s of people from life rafts while at sea. Two incidents of this occurred in two days leaving 70 dead. [Link]
  • Saudi Arabia calls for the UN to run the airport in Sanaa under certain conditions set by Saudi Arabia. [Link]
