Israel continued its military operations in Gaza on Wednesday, violating the October ceasefire brokered by President Donald Trump. At least 22 people were killed, including children, women, and a medic. 

Palestinian hospitals reported among those killed on Wednesday were five children, seven women, and an on-duty paramedic. One Strike in Gaza City killed at least 11 people, mostly from the same family, including two parents, a 10-day-old girl, her 5-month-old cousin, and their grandmother.

Israel also attacked the Mawasi area near Khan Younis. Mawasi is a massive tent city. The IDF established the area as a safe zone and forced displaced Palestinians into the camp. Israel has repeatedly attacked the tent city. 

The Wednesday attacks on Gaza are the latest violations of the ceasefire. In the nearly four months since Hamas and Tel Aviv agreed to a truce, Israel has violated it more than 1,000 times, killing over 550 Palestinians. The rate of Palestinians killed in Gaza has increased over the past week. On Saturday, Israel killed over 30 people. 

Israel is also killing Palestinians by preventing them from leaving the Strip and seeking medical treatment abroad. A 7-year-old boy died after he was unable to leave Gaza on Tuesday. 

Under the ceasefire agreement, Israel agreed to reopen the border crossing between Gaza and Egypt. Tel Aviv has only partially opened the Rafah crossing to a limited number of Palestinians entering and exiting Gaza.
