  • Lockheed Martin’s new helicopter will not cost the US taxpayer $31 billion. The project was recently approved and is already seeing a 6% increase in cost. [Link]
  • McKesson Medical-Surgical is suing the state of Arkansas. McKesson sold the state of Arkansas a drug that Arkansas plans to use in executions. McKesson feels that Arkansas was not upfront about the state’s intention to use the drug in executions. [Link]
  • A DREAMer has been deported for the first time under Trump. Trump had promised not to roll back Obama’s DACA program. The man who was deported did not have his DREAMer ID on him at the time he was deported. [Link]
  • Venezuela’s President Maduro plans to arm 500,000 civilians and turn them into a police force. Maduro is facing protests and demands for a new election. [Link]
  • Turkey extends Erdogan’s emergency powers for another three months. The EU is calling on Turkey to investigate allegations of election fraud during the referendum. [Link]
  • Around 300 Marines will arrive in the Helmond Province of Afghanistan at the end of the month. The Afghani army has been unable to stop the Taliban from advancing in the province. [Link]
  • The civilians living in ISIS-held Mosul face a humanitarian catastrophe. Many civilians are only eating flour boiled in wheat grain water. [Link]
  • A US airstrike killed 30 civilians in Syria. Most of those killed in the strike were women and children. Russia and Syria are responsible for killing another 14 Syrian civilians. [Link]
  • A Saudi Black Hawk helicopter crashed in Yemen killing 12 Saudi military officers. [Link]
