Angie Dodge’s Real Killer Found

by | May 16, 2019

Our friend and colleague, the late-great Will Grigg, had long championed the falsely convicted Chris Tapp in the case of the murder of Angie Dodge in 1996. Tapp was finally released in 2017 with the help of the victim’s mother Carol.

This case was featured on 48 Hours or one of those a couple of weeks ago.

Well — at least the cops now claim — DNA from the crime scene was traced to the real killer, who has now confessed to the murder.

Will was right of course.

And the cops, prosecutors, judges and jurors who conspired to steal Mr. Tapp’s life away — and in fact abetting the real criminal’s escape from justice for the last 23 years — will never be held accountable in any way whatsoever. That’s not even a prediction. It’s a simple fact of life.

(Hilariously, in the above linked article the reporter asks if the cops owe Tapp an apology — the closest thing they can possibly imagine to accountability — and they say they need a few weeks to study the question to see if maybe possibly they might.)
