  • The Spanish Prime Minister may attempt to dissolve the Catalonian Parliment to prevent Catalonia from gaining independence. [Link]
  • French Parliment has voted to make some emergency powers permanent. The emergency powers were activated after a 2015 terror attack. The powers include the ability to shut down mosques. [Link]
  • The Spanish government has ruled out having talks with Catalonia. [Link]
  • The European Commission approved of Spain’s brutal crackdown in Catalonia. [Link]
  • Three US special forces members were killed in Niger. [Link]
  • The UAE paid for lobbying in the US for Egypt. [Link]
  • The US has loosened the restrictions on airstrikes in Afghanistan. Trump outlined changing the rules of engagement in Afghanistan in his speech renewing the Afghanistan War. [Link]
