About The Book
"Professor Solis-Mullen has in this brief book offered a short history of the rise of classical liberalism, its transformation into progressive liberalism, and its total collapse into socialism. He shows the fatal flaw in the older liberalism; trying to limit the state by means of the state. Democracy is no solution but part of the problem, and democracy extends rather than limits state power. Constitutions cannot work, because the state relies on its own courts to limit itself, but they inevitably expand state power. Only anarcho-capitalism, along the lines laid out by Murray Rothbard and Hans-Hermann Hoppe, can protect rights consistently. The author has brilliantly expounded the essentials of anarcho-capitalism in excellent fashion, and he has packed an amazing amount of material into a short space. I highly recommend his book," Dr. David Gordon, Senior Fellow at the Ludwig von Mises Institute
