On COI #136, Patrick MacFarlane – host of Liberty Weekly – returns to the show to discuss the assassination of Haiti’s President Jovenel Moise. Over a century ago, in response to another presidential hit, the US invaded and occupied Haiti for 19 years. After withdrawing, Washington maintained its dominance over the small Caribbean nation through ‘soft power’ NGOs and election-meddling. The Clintons were particularly interested in reworking Haiti into a new Taiwan. However, their humanitarian intervention only fostered corruption and helped to kick off a deadly cholera epidemic. As Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton organized the “election” of Moise’s predecessor, setting the stage for last week’s assassination.
