Big Pharma firms are sounding alarms after Washington endorsed a proposed global intellectual property waiver for Covid vaccines, threatening a multi-billion dollar revenue stream. As the idea gains traction, some companies, such as Pfizer and Moderna, are warning that yearly booster shots may be needed, comparing future coronavirus jabs to annual flu shots.
