US News

  • Venezuelan self-proclaimed president Juan Guaido says he hopes to continue receiving bipartisan US support. [Link]
  • The family of a murdered UK teen lost their case in UK court to hold the American behind the killing responsible. The court gave the woman, who was driving recklessly, diplomatic immunity because her husband is a US official. She is a CIA agent. [Link]
  • Russia reports its navy chased off an American destroyer that was illegally operating in Russian territorial waters. The US denied the destroyer was chased away and said the incident occurred in international waters. [Link]

Afghanistan

  • Fourteen people were killed by two roadside bombs in Afghanistan. The Taliban claimed they were not behind the attack. [Link]
  • Germany has started to withdraw its forces from Kunduz, Afghanistan. Germany has about 1,000 troops in Kunduz [Link]

Syria

  • Syria says Israel has bombed southern Damascus twice this week. [Link]
  • At least 29 Turkish-backed rebels in Syria were killed by car bombs and landmines. [Link]

Ethiopia

  • Ethiopia claims to have destroyed 10,000 Tigray fighters in three weeks of fighting. [Link]
  • Ethiopia claims a Tigray youth group acted with security personnel to kill 600 civilians in an attack on November 9th. [Link]
