On Hegseth’s Orders, US Forces Killed Survivors of Strike on Drug Boat

During the attack on a drug boat in the Caribbean, the military conducted a second strike to kill two survivors of the initial bombing. The murder of the survivors was conducted after Secretary of War Pete Hegseth gave the order to kill everybody.

The Washington Post reported on Friday, “The Special Operations commander overseeing the Sept. 2 attack — the opening salvo in the Trump administration’s war on suspected drug traffickers in the Western Hemisphere — ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions,” adding, “The two men were blown apart in the water.”

Under the direction of President Donald Trump, the US has destroyed about two dozen boats in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific, killing over 80. The Pentagon has claimed the vessels were trafficking drugs for narco-terrorists.

Congress has not declared war on the cartels or otherwise given authority to the President to strike the drug boats. In addition to being unconstitutional, the attacks are also likely illegal and war crimes. Senator Rand Paul has slammed the strikes as extrajudicial killings.

Todd Huntley, a former military lawyer who advised Special Operations forces, told the Post that the attacks “amount to murder.” The Pentagon has asserted that the Post’s reporting is “false.”

There is also concern that the strikes are part of a buildup to a regime change war in Venezuela. On Saturday, Trump declared that Venezuela’s airspace was closed. “To all Airlines, Pilots, Drug Dealers, and Human Traffickers, please consider THE AIRSPACE ABOVE AND SURROUNDING VENEZUELA TO BE CLOSED IN ITS ENTIRETY,” he wrote on Truth Social.
