Trump Declares Iran ‘IS DEAD’

President Donald Trump posted that Iran is “officially a failed nation” and “dead.”

“Iran is officially a Failed Nation. IT IS DEAD!” he wrote on Truth Social Monday. “They have no Navy, they have no Air Force, they have no currency, they are not paying their soldiers or police, Inflation is at 300%, and their leadership is in total disarray and incapable of properly representing the country.”

Top US officials have repeatedly claimed that Iran is militarily defeated. However, Iran continued to fire missiles at US bases in the region. On Sunday, the US bombed an Iranian military site on Larak island. Tehran responded by targeting an American military base in Jordan.

Additionally, US military officials have told Secretary of War Pete Hegseth that continued military operations against Iran were unsustainable. The US has depleted a significant portion of its missile and interceptor stockpiles during the early months of the conflict.

Last week, US officials speaking with Axios said that Washington was not planning new attacks on Iran, and was going to focus on enforcing sanctions against Tehran.

Trump claimed that the Iranian government was only able to hold on to control because of “fake news” and killing 100,000 protesters. “The only thing they have is FAKE NEWS from the USA, a willingness to kill their protesters (now over 100,000 people dead. They must be tried for war crimes against humanity!), and a good line of ‘BULLSHIT,’” he wrote.

Iranians have not held anti-government protests since January. At the time, Trump asserted that Tehran had killed 35,000 protesters. At the time, the figure was disputed. Over the past six months, the President has continued to increase the number of protesters that he claims Iran killed.
