Trump Threatens to Resume Bombing Iran If Tehran Declines Latest Offer

President Donald Trump said that if Iran declines his latest proposal to end the war, the US will break the ceasefire and restart the bombing.

“Assuming Iran agrees to give what has been agreed to, which is, perhaps, a big assumption, the already legendary Epic Fury will be at an end, and the highly effective Blockade will allow the Hormuz Strait to be OPEN TO ALL, including Iran,” Trump wrote on Truth Social Wednesday. “If they don’t agree, the bombing starts, and it will be, sadly, at a much higher level and intensity than it was before.”

The President has issued multiple ultimatums to Tehran over the past month, including threats to destroy Iran’s civilian infrastructure. Tehran has ignored Trump’s deadlines, and the President has backed away from his threats.

Iran and the US appear far apart in negotiations to end a deal. Trump is demanding that Tehran give up its control over the Strait of Hormuz and its nuclear enrichment program. Iran has said that it will not end the war until the US recognizes its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.

However, Pakistan says that negotiations have made “significant progress.” Multiple outlets have reported that the US and Iran are considering a one-page memo that would bring the war to an end without addressing Iran’s nuclear program.

The war, which started at the end of February, has been in an uneasy truce for four weeks.
