US News

  • Police have an agreement with FedEx allowing drug dogs in its shipping facilities. If dogs hit on a package, cops go undercover as FedEx employees. Once the package is delivered and enters the home, cops raid the home and arrest the homeowner. [Link]
  • US immigration policy targets immigration activists for deportation. [Link]
  • Biden canceled $1.1 billion in student loans for borrowers who attended ITT Technical Institute. [Link]
  • The US military warns China will become a larger nuclear threat than Russia. [Link]

North Korea

  • Biden administration officials say they are looking to engage North Korea in talks after the IAEA reported possible activity at a reactor used to produce material for nuclear weapons. [Link]

Afghanistan 

  • The final US troops leave Afghanistan. [Link]
  • The US suspended its diplomatic mission in Afghanistan and moved operations to Qatar. [Link]
  • The US killed 10 members of a single-family with a drone strike in Kabul. Seven of the dead are children. [Link] White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki called the strike a success. [Link]

Middle East

  • Israel says it is working with the US on a “plan B” if talks with Iran fall apart. [Link]
  • The Israeli media is reporting that Prime Minister Naftali Bennett proposed to Biden creating a NATO-style alliance to counter Iran. [Link]
  • A London-based human rights group is attempting to get justice for 140 Yemeni civilians who were the victims of war crimes. The group is bringing allegations to the ICC that Saudi Arabia murdered scores of children on a school bus and over 100 others at a funeral. [Link]
