The group Stop Anti-Semitism has listed Ms. Rachel as a finalist for antisemite of the year. Other finalists include Tucker Carlson, and Young Turk hosts, Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian.
Ms. Rachel, or Rachel Anne Accurso, is a high-profile content creator. Her videos are intended to help children with language development. She has emerged as a vocal advocate for children in Gaza who have been suffering under a famine, displacement, and a two-year-long Israeli onslaught.
Ms. Rachel’s advocacy for Palestinian children has led to attacks from several pro-Israeli groups and commentators, including Stop Anti-Semitism. In April, the group named her as antisemite of the week.
“Since her rise to fame, she appears to have transformed into a mouthpiece for Hamas. Now, she spreads vile propaganda against the Jewish state to over 20 million followers across multiple accounts – outnumbering the entire global population of Israelis and Jews,” a statement from Stop Anti-Semitism said.
The criticism of Ms. Rachel focused on her posting about the suffering of Palestinians and using the death toll produced by the Gaza Health Ministry. The ministry counts the bodies that are brought to hospitals and morgues. The Health Ministry’s figures are considered a significant undercount.
Stop-Antisemitism lists Carlson as the top finalist for antisemitism. The conservative host has been labeled an antisemite for calling for an end to US support for Israel and interviewing Nick Fuentes.
During the discussion with Fuentes, Carlson confronted the right-wing commentator over viewing Jews as a problem, and emphasized it was against his religion to hate anybody based on identity.
