  • The US was the seller for half of all the world’s weapons sales in 2015. [Link]
  • The German central bank is repatriating gold from the NY FED faster than planned. [Link]
  • The Pakistani Defense Minister tweets a nuclear threat to Israel after reading a fake news story. [Link]
  • The Commander of US-led forces in Iraq says the offensive to retake Mosul has been paused to give time to rest. He also predicts that it will take another 2 years to defeat ISIS in Iraq and Syria. [Link]
  • Lt. Col James says the operations to retake Mosul will restart in a few days. [Link]
  • Turkey reports that ISIS killed Syrian civilians with homemade bombs as they attempted to flee the city of al-Bab. [Link]
  • Russia reports that troops have found mass graves in the areas of Aleppo that were held by rebels. Russia also said that some of those bodies showed signs of torture. [Link]
