US News

North Korea

  • The US says it would like a ‘freeze’ agreement with North Korea to start the ‘nuclear freeze’ at the start of the process. [Link]

Middle East

  • The 7th round of peace talks between the US and Taliban have concluded. Officials say the two sides are close to an agreement. [Link]
  • The US is attempting to form a military coalition to patrol the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandab Strait. The plan calls for US ships to command allied ships. [Link]
  • The UK, France, and Germany call for talks and for Iran to comply with the nuke deal. [Link]
  • The UN reports there have been 460,000 cholera cases in Yemen in 2019. Over 700 Yemenis have died of cholera. [Link]

Libya
