  • Venezuela withdraws from talks with the opposition led by Juan Guaido. The Maduro government said it was over the Guaido government celebrating and encouraging the US to sanction Venezuela. [Link]
  • Fighting between three armed groups over drug territory in Colombia puts 300,000 civilians in danger. [Link]

Kashmir

  • Six people were killed in Kashmir as India cracked down on protesters. [Link]

Middle East

  • The Taliban leadership says the US is creating mistrust in the negotiation process. [Link]
  • An Israeli soldier in civilian clothing was stabbed to death in the West Bank. Israel is calling the killing a Palestinian attack. [Link]
  • Saudi loans $250 million to the Sudanese central bank. [Link]
  • Turkey says it will not be delayed by the US in establishing ‘safe zones’ in Kurdish-held northern Syria. A Turkish official said a safe zone 30-35 km into Syria would help stabilize the region. [Link]
