  • Trump signs an executive directive to build a wall along the US/Mexico border. Trump also restarted a program where federal law enforcement works with state and local enforcement to deport illegal immigrants. [Link] Tru
  • Trump signs an executive order to crack down on federal aid going to sanctuary cities. [Link]
  • Trump says that he believes torture will work and is looking to “fight fire with fire.” Trump dismissed the idea that CIA black sites will return. A report that came out early yesterday said the administration planned to use black sites. [Link]
  • The Dow Jones closed over 20,000 for the first time. [Link]
  • Google has labeled 200 websites as fake news. These websites will no longer have access to Google advertising. [Link]
  • Eastern Mosul is now controlled by the Iraqi government. The government is concerned about ISIS suicide bombers in Eastern Mosul. ISIS fighters will shave their beards to blend in with the population of Mosul then carry out an attack. [Link]
  • Al-Nusra is attacking Syrian rebel groups who are participating in the peace talks. Al-Nusra is a terrorist group linked to al-Qaeda and was not invited to the peace talks. Al-Nusra may be able to kill the peace deal by attacking the groups that are attending. [Link]
