Cuba
- Canadian researchers believe US diplomats suffered symptoms from nausea to memory loss because of neurotoxins in mosquito spray. The Cuban government had stepped up spraying because of the Zike virus. The US claimed that the symptoms were caused by the Cubans using sonic weapons. [Link]

- Secretary of State Pompeo announces the US will withhold $160 million in aid to Afghanistan. $100 million was for an energy infrastructure project. Pompeo said the project would be completed with off-budget funds. [Link]
