Thom writes, re “Prescription For Violence: The Corresponding Rise of Antidepressants, SSRIs & Mass Shootings“:
I am a psychopath.
I am a family man, I own guns. I would never go out and shoot innocent people.
I think calling psychopaths murderous people it’s not right. Just pointing that out.
I do not have any care for other people’s feelings unless they’re in my close group. I myself have a tendency to feel “empathy“ towards children and old people. But ask anyone I know and I am a good guy.
Psychopathy does not inherently predispose anyone towards violence. I am abhorrently opposed to violence. Unless one brings it upon themselves to act in a way where violence begets violence.
Just asking in the future they don’t label psychopaths as the killers. It’s usually people they have strong feelings that commit crimes. I do not have strong feelings, that is a trait of psychopaths. Therefore I have no reason to go out and shoot people. The people they go out and kill people have unregulated emotions.
Just trying to clear up the misconception.
Hope you have a great day,
Thom
