Civil War – Inspired By Virginia

by | Dec 26, 2019

So, there are some libertar-ee-uns who call the Civil War the war of “Northern Aggression” or “Between The States”.  Etc.

But it was truly a Civil War.  I can defend this.

Both sides of the war celebrated the motherf***— Fourth of July.  Both sides named towns after “Columbia”.  Although New England had a sort of weird affinity for the mother country (England) after 1776, among the literary and religious elite, it was still a land with a sense of fierce independence (hence it’s 1812 era secession from the USA movement).

After the war?  Tennessee Ernie Ford can be seen on YouTube (recorded circa 1960 – before the South was inherently bad) signing songs from both sides of the war.  Well.  What can we say?

Sounds like a Civil War to me in the sense that before and after share a united sense of belonging, but during the deed there was no amity.

Yet, now we have this -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_1619_Project

The New York Times wants to say America was founded in 1619.   This has nothing to do with the revolution or the federal Constitution.  Nor does it relate to Plymouth or the sailing of the Susan Constant.  1619 was when African slaves were imported into Virginia.  The idea is that America is the country of exploiting dark skinned folks.  That there is no more nor no less to its history.

So, libertarian Rothbardians.  The “Civil War” is as irrelevant to you as it is to the establishment which no longer cares about the Fourth of July or Tennessee Ernie Ford.  Think about that.

So Virginia yet again is forming militias against gun-grabbing and is set to kickoff another “Civil War”.  Well, some say this is a scheme.  Some even say it’s a scheme to distract from Trump “lockin’ ’em up”.  And we don’t want them taking the guns.  What do we do?

Hey Virginia.  How about citizens arresting Bush or Cheney, and letting international courts review evidence to see what they did?

Oh, nah?  Well okay then.  Good luck with your mothef***—- guns.

Anti-War Blog – Apparently, not evil. Just War.

In the past those of us distant from war could only see it in the print media and television. It was curated with the intent to gain sympathy, or conceal the brutality of those who we were supposed to be sympathetic for. As censored as it was at times graphic, though...
