  • Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin says American CEOs should still do business with Saudi Arabia. Mnuchin made the statement in response to reports Saudi hacked Jeff Bezos’s phone. [Link]

Asia

  • A member of Cambodian opposition admits that in 2013 he received funding from the US in an attempt to gain power in the country. [Link]
  • The World Court ordered Myanmar to protest the minority Muslim Rohingya population from the country’s army. The court said the Rohingya remain at risk of genocide. The Myanmar government believes the Rohingya are fabricating claims of genocide. [Link]

Afghanistan

  • Afghanistan’s president says his country is ready for 4,000 US troops to withdraw. [Link]
  • Trump says negotiations with the Taliban will not progress until there is a significant reduction in violence by the Taliban. [Link]

Middle East

  • Israeli soldiers killed three Gazans. The soldiers reported the Gazans threw a grenade at the soldiers. [Link]
  • A US official says the US will kill the new commander of the Iranian Quds force if he continues Soleimani’s policies. [Link]
  • The US envoy for the fight against ISIS says there has been no discussion about removing US troops from Syria. [Link]

Libya

  • Turkey says it will not deploy additional military advisers to Libya while the ceasefire is being observed. [Link]
  • The Libyan National Army declares a no-fly-zone over Tripoli and is threatening to shoot down civilian planes. [Link]
