  • A police officer was caught by his own body camera planting weed. [Link]
  • The US extends the tax filing deadline by 90 days. [Link]
  • The US waived some HIPAA compliance rules to allow doctors to provide more digital services. [Link]
  • Trump suspends all evictions and foreclosures. He also invoked the Defense Production Act to force the production of medical supplies. [Link]
  • The Pentagon is planning for martial law as the corona outbreak spreads. [Link]

Afghanistan

  • A US general says the corona outbreak may prevent the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan. [Link]

Middle East

  • Iran’s Supreme Leader pardons 10,000 prisoners in celebration of the Persian New Year. [Link]
  • The US sanctioned three Chinese, three Hong Kong, and one South African company for providing petrochemicals to Iran. Five Iranians were also sanctioned. [Link]
  • A new group called League of Revolutionaries claims responsibility for the attack in Iraq that killed two Americans and a British soldier. [Link]
  • Several rockets were fired into Iraq’s Green Zone last night. There are no reports of casualties. This is the fourth rocket attack on the Green Zone in the past week. [Link]
