  • A Dallas salon owner was sentenced to seven days in jail and a $7,000 fine for operating her salon during a lockdown. She was given the offer to apologize rather than go to jail but explained that she was staying open because her employees were going hungry. [Link]
  • United Airlines will cut hours of 15,000 workers. United received a $5 billion bailout. [Link]
  • Kansas will pay a couple $150,000 after raiding their home in 2012. The raid was carried out because police mistook wet tea leaves for marijuana. [Link]
  • The US is planning to deport an Iranian professor who was acquitted of stealing secrets. The release may be a part of a large prisoner exchange with Iran. [Link]
  • Trump denies any US government involvement in a coup plot against Maduro by a retired special forces soldier. [Link]

China

  • The US and Chinese relations are at a 40 year low. [Link]
  • Trump has maintained a 25% tariff on disinfectants on China throughout the coronavirus pandemic. [Link]
