The Police Are Not Going to Be There For You

by | Sep 14, 2020

The person who trusts the police to protect them is the person who has never had to rely on the police for protection. They’re historians. They show up after the fact to take your statement.

I’ve seen people on gun forums say in one moment to get a gun and learn how to use it because when seconds count, the police are minutes away. And that same person will tell you to call a crackhead if you criticize police.

But the advice of the gun forum dude is sound; get a gun, become an expert with it, and be your own cop. Anyone paying attention since at least the Parkland shooting knows they aren’t there to protect you.
