  • Daniel Ellsberg testified in Assange’s extradition trial that WikiLeaks documents are in the public interest. [Link]

Foreign Policy

  • The head of US Space Force Gen. Raymond says the US may be unable to win a space battle. [Link]
  • Secretary of Defense Mark Esper says he wants to expand the Navy to 350 ships. The Navy currently has just under 300 ships. [Link]
  • The State Department defended weapon sales to Saudi during a Congressional Hearing despite the weapons murdering children. [Link]
  • The US is planning a large weapons sale to Taiwan. The deal is reported to include seven different weapons systems. [Link]
  • The US simulated seizing a ship in the South China Sea. [Link]
  • The US says it will sanction countries that sell weapons to Iran after the UN arms embargo expires in October. [Link]

Israel

  • Israel says it wants $8 billion in new weapons from the US. Israel is hoping to get squads of F-35s. Israel is making the demand as it appears the US will sell advanced weapons systems to UAE and Bahrain. [Link]

Libya

  • The head of Libya’s Government of National Accord says he wants to step down by the end of October. The GNA is in the middle of a civil war against the Libyan National Army. [Link]
