  • Dozens of White House staffers have been suspended, and some asked to resign, over past weed use. [Link]
  • Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin told his Indian counterpart that India should avoid buying Russian made military equipment to avoid being sanctioned by the US. [Link]
  • Austin traveled to Afghanistan. [Link]

Middle East

  • Israel revoked the VIP border pass of the Palestinian Foreign Minister, after the FM met with the International Criminal Court. The pass allows senior Palestinian officials to move freely though border crossings. [Link]
  • The US filed charges against ten people for violating US sanctions on Iran. None of the people live in the US or were arrested. [Link]
  • Iran’s Supreme Leader says his country doesn’t trust promises from the US. [Link]

Yemen

  • Saudi carried out several airstrikes against Yemen’s capital. [Link]
  • Saudi airstrikes hit civilian food infrastructure at a Yemeni port. [Link] 

Niger

  • Armed men killed 60 people in Niger. [Link]
