  • A North Carolina cop resigns after a video shows him torturing his dog. Other officers on the scene joked about a lack of witnesses. [Link]
  • Biden proposes a $2 trillion infrastructure spending bill. [Link]
  • Drone assassination program whistleblower Daniel Hale pled guilty to violating the Espionage Act. Hale will be sentenced in July. Hale pled guilty to just one charge, however, four more charges remain. If the prosecution is unhappy with the sentencing, they would be able to take Hale to trial on the other charges. [Link]
  • Microsoft wins a US Army contract for $21 billion to produce virtual reality headsets. [Link]
  • The Army will develop medium and long range missiles to combat China. [Link]

Middle East

  • Iran says Biden is not making a serious effort at saving the Iran Nuclear Deal. [Link]
  • The US renews a sanctions waiver for Iraq to buy Iranian energy. [Link]
  • The US Human Rights Reports condemns Iraq for not doing more to control Shia militias. [Link]
