  • A DEA agent and police officer pushed a man from a window and tased him after he fell. Initially, a court granted the cops qualified immunity. The 3rd Circuit Court overturned the qualified immunity. [Link]

  • China calls on the US and Russia to cut the number of nuclear weapons each country maintains. [Link]
  • Joint Chief head Gen. Mark Milley says China has little intent or motivation to seize Taiwan. [Link]
  • National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan says the White House is considering setting up a summit between Biden and Chinese leader Xi. [Link]
  • The Pratas atoll – occupied by Taiwanese soldiers – could be a flashpoint for conflict between the US and China. [Link]

Afghanistan

  • NSA Sullivan says the US and Turkey reached an agreement for Turkish forces to continue to secure the Kabul Airport after international forces withdrew. [Link]
