More than 100,000 persons died of narcotics overdoses last year in the United States, in many cases because the street drugs they used were laced with extremely potent fentanyl. If you were among the survivors of a dose of unknown provenance, the reason you are alive is that you were lucky. If the government had not made it illegal to purchase and sell drugs, then people would not have to resort to shady dealers in dark alleys and literally gamble their lives away when they ingested such substances.
Not all of the victims of fentanyl overdose have been drug addicts, but some of them were, and in order to obtain their needed fix, they were driven to acquire narcotics by all means necessary. Many of them became that way because they trusted their doctors, who trusted the government’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA). If you were prescribed narcotics for minor bouts of pain during the early years of what became the opioid crisis and overdose epidemic, and you did not become addicted to your pills, that is not because but in spite of the government.
You prudently declined to empty your large amber vial, knowing as you did, as have the people of many societies for centuries, that narcotics are in fact highly addictive. You did not believe the marketing hype condoned by the FDA according to which powerful narcotics had suddenly become nonaddictive. Far from being protected by the government, the victims of the opioid crisis were sacrificed on the altar of Big Pharma because their cronies in government permitted them to convince doctors and patients alike that their new wonder drugs were safe and could and should be liberally ingested by anyone for virtually anything. Doctors not only trusted but were also pressured by the pharma-copted federal regulatory agencies to prescribe the patented pills. Patients believed what their doctors told them, and the rest is history (recommended viewing: The Crime of the Century [2021], directed by Alex Gibney).
Thousands of persons in the United States died of respiratory illnesses in 2022, as they do each year. Many of them had been innoculated, in some cases quadruply, with the elixir persistently promoted by the government as the solution to the COVID-19 pandemic, even as rapidly mutating variants rendered the original shots nugatory. Although the substance injected into human bodies billions of times from 2021 to 2022 was labeled a vaccine, in reality, deaths from the virus which it was designed to combat increased rather than decreased in the period following widespread innoculation campaigns in countries all over the world.
If you survived COVID-19, then unless you are elderly, obese, or beset with multiple comorbidities, the government did not save your life. (And if you did fall into those categories and were exposed to the virus as a result of “public health” officials’ guidance to political leaders such as Governor Cuomo in New York to send infected persons to convalesce in nursing homes, then you might well number among the people not reading these words because they will never read any words ever again.) In truth, you are alive because you were never vulnerable to the “severe illness and death” by COVID-19 used in the ubiquitous marketing campaign to persuade you to volunteer as a subject in the largest experimental trial of a medical device (the novel mRNA technology) in history.
If you are not one of the thousands of formerly healthy persons who have dropped dead from cardiac arrest or a blood clot-induced stroke since being coerced by your employer, under pressure by the government, to accept a medical treatment for which you had no need, the government certainly did not save your life. The mounting evidence suggests that the causal factor in these “unexplained” cases was the biologically active spike protein created by bodies injected with the mRNA coding for the production of that foreign substance. Many people succumbed to the overwhelming pressure put upon them to undergo an unnecessary treatment, up to and including the threat of the abrupt ending of their career. But according to all available statistical data, healthy persons under the age of seventy were always unlikely (< .5%) to die from COVID-19, whether with or without treatment. If you number among that cohort and opted for “vaccination”, then you are in all likelihood alive today because your body did not overproduce the biologically active spike protein coded for by the mRNA injected into your arm—the same spike protein used by the COVID-19 virus to penetrate cells. Your body did not keep producing that potentially harmful substance, and it did not coalesce within any of your organ systems. There is no sense in which the government saved your life by persuading or coercing you to undergo an experimental treatment for which you had no need. Rather, you just got lucky that your body happened to produce foreign-coded protein inefficiently. Or perhaps your dose was weak or expired.
Homeless people die every winter in cities such as New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, and Denver, to name but a few. If you are alive today, in 2023, it is not because the government saved your life, it is because you were fortunate enough not to have been sabotaged by the lockdowns which prevented healthy persons in the gig economy from earning enough money to pay for adequate shelter. Some among the homeless victims have succumbed to drug use and suffered overdose deaths (recommended reading: Fentanyl, Inc. [2019] by Ben Westhoff). The fact that you had a salaried position during the Coronapocalypse, and were thus able to weather the politically generated storm, has nothing to do with the government—unless, of course, you happen to be a government employee…Either way, you simply numbered among the lucky.
Not all of the homeless persons in the United States are veterans of the wars of vanity, choice and greed instigated by the military industry-coopted government in the twenty-first century, but some of them are. Beyond the military veterans who succumb to the elements or suffer overdose death, thousands more have taken their lives in recent years. They have been psychologically destroyed by their experiences fighting in dubious wars where they are ordered to kill or witness the killing of people who manifestly do not deserve to die. If you are alive today, it is not because the government saved your life by sacrificing so many enlisted men and women, or by killing, maiming, and terrorizing millions of innocent persons abroad. It is because you were lucky enough neither to be hoodwinked by wartime recruitment propaganda nor to need to sign your life away in order to be able to support yourself and your family or to pay for your education.
If you did not starve to death in 2022, it’s not because the government saved your life. Thank your lucky stars that you were not born in Yemen, where a brutal U.S.-supported war has been raging on between the Saudis and Houthis since 2015. Through initiating and perpetuating this conflict, the U.S. government has not made you any safer, whether by arming the Saudis in their ruthless slaughter, or by facilitating their savage blockades. Instead, the government has helped to sow misery and death throughout that land, as a direct result of which hundreds of thousands of innocent people have perished, not only in the crossfire of the military conflict, but also from starvation and disease.
If you were not vaporized in a nuclear holocaust in 2022, it’s not because your government saved your life. It’s because Russian President Vladimir Putin, armed to the teeth with nuclear weapons inherited by Russia from the Soviet Union, has not yet succumbed to the threats of regime change and imminent personal demise incessantly pumped out by U.S. “statesmen”. Rather than facilitate the negotiated ending of what is effectively a dispute between Russia and Ukraine over a border established three decades ago by a small committee of men, the U.S. government has pumped enormous amounts of money and arms into the region, more than $100 billion to date, a sum in excess of the entire military budget of Russia. Through serially threatening Putin, representatives of the U.S. government have in no way protected you. Instead, they have relentlessly and recklessly whittled away at the first premises of the theory of Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD).
According to MAD, developed during the Cold War, back when the Soviet Union still existed and posed a real threat to free people, neither party to a conflict between two nuclear powers will resort to the use of such weapons of mass annihilation, provided that they believe that their side will suffer unacceptable losses in the triggered ricochet effect initiated by the first strike. But if a leader with his finger on the button of nuclear weapons comes to believe as a result of credible threats that he is on the verge of being assassinated, then all bets are off. Any government which continually provokes the leader of a nuclear-armed nation to believe that he is going to be “taken out” by them is either ignorant of or disregards the basis for MAD.
The sabotage of the Nordstream pipelines on September 26, 2022, remains a yet-to-be solved mystery, even though before it happened U.S. officials rendered themselves the most likely suspects by publicly proclaiming that if Russia invaded Ukraine, then the pipelines would not go forward. If in fact that crime was committed by the U.S. government, which would make it tantamount to a declaration of war, and in fact Putin believes this to be the case (knowing as he does better than anyone else that Russia did not sabotage its own project), then your ongoing existence rests, again, only on the restraint exhibited by the Russian president in refraining to retaliate against the likely perpetrators of the sabotage.
The fact that Putin has not opted to use nuclear weapons, given that he has been repeatedly informed/threatened by U.S. leaders that he will be removed from power, by hook or by crook, may ironically enough be a result of the fact that the U.S. government no longer has any credibility on foreign policy (recommended reading: Enough Already: Time to End the War on Terrorism [2021], by Scott Horton). Whatever the reason that Putin has declined up to now to use all of the tools at his disposal, rest assured that you are not alive because your government saved your life. Instead, you lucked out that Putin happens not to be as impulsive as are U.S. warmakers, who assassinate anyone they want anywhere they want in a complete state of impunity and appear fully prepared to plot Putin’s demise as well, civilization be damned. As though oblivious to why and how all of humanity was not wiped out in a nuclear conflagration during the Cold War, representatives of the U.S. government persist in provoking Putin to the point of wondering whether his assassination is on the CIA’s list of things to make and do. Lucky for you, Putin does not yet believe them.
Of course, if there were no nuclear weapons, then no leader of any government would be in the position to destroy millions of human beings with the push of a button. Weapons powerful enough to wipe out large swaths of humanity were developed in the MAD arms race over the course of the decades-long U.S.-Soviet conflict, as the Soviet Union endeavored not only to expand, but also to protect itself through nuclear deterrence. But if the U.S. government had never developed atomic bombs, and demonstrated its willingness to use them by dropping them on the civilian cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, then the nuclear arms race between the Soviet Union and the United States would likely not have taken place. The production by the government of weapons of mass destruction has not enhanced but undermined your security. If you are old enough to have lived through the Cold War, then the fact that you happened to survive was an extraordinary stroke of luck, as we know from multiple close calls, the most famous of which was the Cuban Missile Crisis.
