Credibility and the ‘Xinjiang Police Files’

Credibility and the ‘Xinjiang Police Files’

Since at least February 2018, a German-born anthropologist named Adrian Zenz has alleged that China is persecuting the Uyghurs, a Turkic Muslim minority that inhabits Xinjiang, China’s westernmost autonomous region.  Zenz is a Senior Fellow at the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation (VOC). His work has been published at the neoconservative Jamestown Foundation and the Newlines Institute, which is a project of Fairfax University of America (formerly Virginia International University).  Zenz’s work is the foundation of myriad claims by the Western-aligned corporate press, the Trump and...

US Intelligence and Extremism: from 9/11 to Ukraine ft. Adam Fitzgerald Ep. 223

https://youtu.be/Mi7wOSzR64Q Back on December 5, I invited researcher Adam Fitzgerald on to the show for an expansive discussion about psychological operations. The discussion was one of my many favorite interviews, and it was a very popular episode. In this week's episode, Adam returns for another expansive discussion. This time, we explore the relationships that US intelligence agencies, NGOs, and think tanks have with extremist groups. Specifically, we discuss the acceptance and influence of Ukrainian Nazis and Nazi collaborators in the US foreign policy establishment. We also...

106 Years Later, the Somme Still Echoes

106 Years Later, the Somme Still Echoes

A couple weeks ago, I watched a documentary series called Apocalypse: WWI. In the same way that Peter Jackson's They Shall Not Grow Old did, this recent viewing reiterated the war's true human cost to me. For instance, today is the 106 anniversary of the beginning of the Battle of the Somme. 106 years ago, the British Army suffered 57,470 casualties in one day, including 19,240 killed. The battle continued for three and a half months. It would ultimately cost 1,123,907 casualties, including 318,700 killed. 318,700 young boys gone, cut down in the prime of their lives. That's 2,260 killed...

Climate Lockdowns Are Here

Climate Lockdowns Are Here

In a development that has been widely broadcast for decades (to those tuned to the correct frequency), Western countries have begun implementing the next step in the government-by-emergency manual. Indeed, once the public allows government to immolate its rights to freedom of association and freedom of movement, those rights are never again absolute. Last week, local officials in Bordeaux, France banned outdoor events due to heat advisories, citing public “health risk.” The new regulations forbid “[c]oncerts and large public gatherings…until the end of the heat wave.” But not to...

Brzezinski’s Proxy War Playbook

Brzezinski’s Proxy War Playbook

In 1998, President Jimmy Carter's National Security Advisor Zbiegnew Brzezinski told Le Nouvel Observateur that the CIA "knowingly increased the probability" that the Russians would invade Afghanistan by covertly supporting the Mujahideen before the Soviet invasion. Later in that same interview, Brzezinski claims that this covert intervention caused the end of the Soviet Union: B: Regret what? That secret operation was an excellent idea. It had the effect of drawing the Russians into the Afghan trap and you want me to regret it? The day that the Soviets officially crossed the border, I wrote...
