  • The Office of the Director of National Intelligence says that they have not accepted the Washington Post’s reported CIA claim that Russia’s cyber attacks were aimed at impacting the US election. The ODNI says they do not accept the report because of a lack of conclusive evidence. [Link]
  • Gary Cohn accepts the position of director of Trump’s Economic Council. [Link]
  • Trump will nominate Rex Tillerson to be Secretary of State. Tillerson is currently the CEO of Exxon. [Link]
  • Trump tweets that the F-35 project is too expensive and Lockheed Martin stock price drops 2%. Lockheed makes the F-35. [Link]
  • A man spent 2 months in prison after wrongly being charged with rape. The incorrect charging was a result of the lab mislabeling the man’s DNA sample. The man is now suing the lab responsible for the incorrect test results. [Link]
  • New Jersey plans to sell transportation bonds to the state’s pension fund. This is the state of New Jersey lending money to itself. [Link]
  • China flies a nuclear-capable bomber over the disputed region of the South China Sea. [Link]
  • The Syrian government now controls 98% of Aleppo. The remaining rebels have regrouped and are trying to hold on to a few districts they still control. [Link]
  • An Oxfam group reports 7 million Yemeni are on the brink of starving to death. This includes 500,000 children and infants who are in immediate need of treatment for malnutrition. [Link]
