Norm Singleton: Trump Has Been Neo-conned

Campaign for Liberty President Norm Singleton issued the following statement regarding President Trump’s veto of S.J.Res. 7, which directed him to end US involvement in the Yemen Civil War:

“As a presidential candidate, Donald Trump promised to end military interventions in conflicts unrelated to American interests. Not only are there no American interests in Yemen, US support for Saudi Arabia’s horrific actions in Yemen endangers America by giving the region one more reason to resent the US.

It is disappointing (to say the least) to see the president once again neo-conned into supporting a foreign policy that puts the deep state first and the American Constitution and taxpayers last.  Congress must continue its efforts to end this unwise and unconstitutional intervention by adding language to this years defense appropriation bill forbidding the use of taxpayer funds for further intervention in Yemen. Campaign for Liberty’s dedicated activists stand ready to help end the war.

After Notre Dame fire, leading Israeli rabbi says ‘There is no mitzvah to [burn down] churches abroad. In our holy land, however, the issue is more complicated’

Via Mondoweiss:

“Prominent settler rabbi, Shlomo Aviner, ruled today (Tuesday) that burning churches outside of the Land of Yisrael “isn’t our job for now”, but as for the Holy Land, “the issue is more complicated”. Aviner seemed to leave the question of burning churches in the Holy Land to the questioner.

“This isn’t our job for now. There is no mitzvah to seek out churches abroad and burn them down. In our holy land, however, the issue is more complicated. Indeed, the Satmar Rabbi noted one of his arguments against immigrating to Israel, that here it is indeed a mitzvah to burn churches; and by not doing so, those [immigrating to Israel] are committing a sin. Yet Rabbi Menachem Mendel Kasher, in his book ‘The Great Period’, rejected the Satmar Rabbi’s words, citing a midrash, forbidding burning [churches], since if we burn, we’ll have to rebuild, and it’s a greater sin to rebuild [a church] than leave it standing. [Here Aviner cites his own book vs. the Satmar Rabbi] That church in Paris, too, will surely be rebuilt.”

Yossi Gurvitz writes:

(Oh, yes: American Jewish readers, I probably need to stress this – this is not a parody or a satire. This is actual rabbinical discourse in 2019 Israel.)

Trump and Kushner’s Deal of the Century

Is a joke, as detailed in today’s Washington Post.

It was important for Israeli PR to have the failed talks at Camp David in 2000, where they pretended that the Palestinians refused to accept a perfectly good deal, which was no such thing at all.

But what’s the point of even going through this charade now when it will only serve to show that Oslo was a scam and that the Israelis are liars who only ever pretended to intend to implement a “two-state solution” of independence for the Palestinians in the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem.

“We believe we have a plan that is fair, realistic and implementable that will enable people to live better lives,” a senior White House official said Friday. “We looked at past efforts and solicited ideas from both sides and partners in the region with the recognition that what has been tried in the past has not worked. Thus, we have taken an unconventional approach founded on not hiding from reality, but instead speaking truth.”

“Better lives.” Not quite liberty and independence, is it? But hey, it’s just not “realistic” to think that Israel would ever let their Helots go, is it?

“We want people to be able to have the freedom of opportunity, the freedom of religion, the freedom to worship, regardless of your faith,” Kushner said in the Sky News interview.

Wow. All the Palestinian Christians and Muslims under Israeli control can now become Israeli citizens regardless of their religion??!!! Wowee. What a concession to the 18th century enlightenment.

No, of course that’s not what he means at all. He’s saying the Jewish Israelis will allow Palestinian Christians and Muslims to have whatever religion they want in their newly “autonomous,” but still perpetually occupied, territory. I bet they are so grateful.

If I was a Trump supporter I’d say this is some chess he’s playing to humiliate the Israelis and reveal them for the double-dealing, non-deal-keeping, lying, land rustlers that they are.

But I’m not, and he’s not. He’s just stupid and horrible and bought and so this is how things are.

After all, are you going to cough up a hundred million dollars for the GOP for the next election? Right.
