Trump On Board For Obama’s New Nuke Program

by | Dec 22, 2016

Sooner or later

Obama worked a deal with the Republicans during his negotiation of the START II treaty with the Senate, that if they would pass a few measly new restrictions, he would sign on for a trillion-dollar program to “completely revamp” the entire American nuclear weapons industry and the government’s arsenal of Hydrogen Bombs.

President-elect Trump has said so before during the campaign, but this morning tweeted further affirmation of this massive program of military Keynesianism of the very worst sort.

To be perfectly clear, even firm believers in Mutually Assured Destruction doctrine concede the U.S. could make due with tens or low hundreds of weapons — the U.S. now has more than 7,000 deployed nuclear weapons — with some proponents even conceding that we could do without the land-based missile forces and that the number of ready-to-use plutonium pits already in supply are more than we could ever need into the indefinite future.

The entire program therefore is nothing but welfare queenery on the part of all the blood sucking parasites of the physicist community and powerful industrial firms tied to the national laboratories and nuclear weapons production — and now they’re going to completely rebuild it from the ground-up.

Break out your public choice theory, even building a Death Star is subject to the exact same laws of bureaucratic and state-corporatist economics as infect the DMV, HUD and the Agriculture Department. If the rest of us let them the nuclear weapons lobbyists would have congress spend 150% of GDP just on nukes — the consequences for all the rest of us be damned.

Now Mr. “Drain the Swamp” is proving that he is nothing but Obama: simply a servant of those he pretended to swear to destroy.

Oh well, who cares? No wants to die alone, right?

And I’ll just leave these right here:
