  • Nine soldiers were killed by a militant attack in Mali. The Malian government claims its soldiers killed 15 militants in a counterattack. [Link]
  • Armed men killed 18 people in Nigeria’s Zamfara state. The Nigerian government is waging a counterinsurgency in the region. [Link]
