  • Biden will keep Christopher Wray as FBI Director. [Link]
  • The Senate approved a waiver for Gen. Lloyd Austin to become Defense Secretary. Austin needed the waiver because he has not been retired from the military for enough time. [Link]
  • The Senate confirmed Gen Lloyd Austin to be Secretary of Defense. [Link]
  • Biden’s Secretary of Defense nominee Antony Blinken said the Biden admin will work to prevent the construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. The pipeline will bring Russian natural gas to central Europe. [Link]
  • Blinken said Turkey is not acting like an ally and the Biden team will consider adding more sanctions over Turkey’s acquisition of the Russian-made S-400 air defense system. [Link]
  • Blinken praised Trump’s so-called “peace deal” between Israel and Muslim countries. Blinken said Iran is the largest state sponsor of terrorism. [Link]
