  • The NY Post published emails that claim to show Hunter Biden traded access to his father, when he was Vice President, for a $50,000 a month board seat on a Ukrainian gas company. Facebook and Twitter are suppressing the story. [Link]
  • YouTube will ban videos that spread what YouTube deems to be misinformation about the Covid vaccine. [Link]
  • A probe investigating potential wrongdoing by Obama officials in unmasking the identity of Mike Flynn ends without any charges. [Link]
  • Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the US is pleased with the effort Iraq is making to protect the US embassy. The US has threatened to close the Baghdad embassy. [Link]

Afghanistan

  • Taliban attacks killed 13 civilians and 16 members of the Afghan security forces. [Link]

Middle East

  • Turkey sold an increasing amount of weapons to Azerbaijan in 2020. [Link]
  • Israel approved the building of 1,300 settler homes in the West Bank. [Link]
  • Israeli troops entered Syria and destroyed two outposts that had been used by the Syrian military. [Link]
  • Yemen’s warring parties swapped about 1,000 prisoners. [Link]

Somalia

  • AFRICOM issued a warning about the dangers in Somalia a day after Bloomberg reported Trump wanted to pull hundreds of troops from the country. [Link]
  • Thirteen Somali soldiers were killed by al-Shabaab in a government attack on the group. [Link]
