  • Representative Justin Amash introduces a bill to end civil asset forfeiture. [Link] 
  • New York City issued rules that prevented diners from using a restaurant’s bathroom. The rule was reversed after protests from restaurant owners. [Link]
  • San Francisco has reported 621 overdose deaths this year. Last year 441 people died from overdoses. 173 people have died from Covid. [Link]
  • The US MIC is making billions on missiles. [Link]
  • The US sanctioned 60 Chinese firms. [Link]

Russia

  • Biden is considering sanctions or a cyber attack against Russia. The warfare would be a response to the evidence-free claim Russia is behind a hack on the US government. [Link]
  • The US closes two consulates in Russia. The US will now only have its embassy in Moscow. [Link]
  • A Russian soldier was killed in Nagorno-Karabakh while dismantling a landmine. [Link]

Venezuela

  • Biden is looking to engage Venezuelan President Maduro in talks. Biden would push ‘free and fair’ elections in Venezuela in exchange for sanctions relief. [Link]

  • Japan increased its military budget to a record $52 billion. [Link]

Afghanistan
