The man suffers damage to his hearing and vision form the flashbang thrown in the raid. The couple lost their home because they were in jail during the time they were attempting to refinance their home. They now live in a shed and resist leaving because of the damage to their reputation.  [Link]

  • A Pennsylvania police officer claims he accidentally shot a man he was attempting to taze. The officer will not face charges. [Link]

Sudan

  • Sudan’s military begins ruling Sudan as the country’s longtime leader steps down. Bashir stepped down after months of protests. Some protest leaders are rejecting the military’s rule. [Link] The head of the military council ruling Sudan steps aside. Another general is now ruling the council. The new general is promising to form a civilian council and have a new government within two years. [Link] Sudan’s military council has met with protest leaders. Sixteen people have been killed since the military council took over. [Link]
  • Sudan’s ruling military council arrested members of the former government. The military council told protests leaders to select the country’s next prime minister. [Link]
