  • 1.4 million healthcare workers have been laid off since the start of lockdowns. [Link]
  • The Senate failed to defeat a measure that will allow the government to surveil Americans’ internet search history without a warrant. The motion failed by one vote. Two Senators who would have voted for the motion could not attend the session. [Link]
  • A new bill would give the government $100 billion to run a contract tracing surveillance program on Americans. [Link]
  • The world spent over $76 billion on nuclear weapons in 2019. The US spent just under half of the total at $35 billion. [Link]
