Venezuela

• A retired US special forces soldier and Venezuelan Army captain release a video saying they were behind an attempt to overthrow Maduro. They had been training in Colombia for the past year. Afghanistan

• The Taliban attacked a key military base in Helmand Province. The Taliban claimed to kill several Afghan government forces and the Afghan government said only one soldier was wounded. [Link]
