Venezuela

  • The UN reports that about 3.3 million Venezuelans have fled the country since 2015. [Link]

Asia

  • Kim Jung-un’s half brother had a nexus with the CIA. [Link]
  • Massive protests broke out in Hong Kong as the autonomous region of China moves forward with a law that allows extradition to mainland China. [Link]
  • Indian forces killed four militants in Kashmir. [Link]

Iran

  • A former IAEA official falsely claimed Iran could build a nuclear weapon in six to eight months. [Link]
  • CENTCOM Commander Gen McKenzie said, “I think the threat (from Iran) is imminent.” [Link]
  • The IAEA confirms that Iran has accelerated the rate it is enriching uranium. Iran is still only enriching to fuel grade and is not violating the JCPOA. [Link]

Syria

  • The mainstream media is leaving out the Syrians in rebel-held Idlib are suffering because the area is control by al-Qaeda linked rebels. [Link]
  • Fighting is intensifying in Idlib. The rebels mounted a counterattack that was pushed back by Assad’s Army. The increase in fighting is causing more damage to health facilities and causing 10,000s of people to flee. [Link]
  • The Islamic State is claiming to be burning crops in Idlib. [Link]

Africa

  • The Islamic State claims to have carried out an attack that killed eight Egyptian security forces at a checkpoint. Egypt reports five militants were killed. [Link] Egypt later killed 14 militants suspected of fleeing from the attack on the checkpoint. [Link]
  • Haftar’s forces carried out an airstrike on a Turkish plane at the Libyan airport. [Link]
  • Militants killed nineteen people in Burkina Faso. [Link]
  • Ninety-five people were killed in Mali because of ongoing violence between two ethnic groups. [Link]
