- An Illinois doctor reviewed a case file, and without examining the child, determined the child was suffering from abuse from Munchausen by proxy. The child and his brother were removed from their parents’ care. The state also took the third child after the mother gave birth. Doctors found the child suffered from an actual genetic condition and was not abused. After over a year – and $60,000 in legal fees – the family was reunited. - The Pentagon canceled its cloud program, JEDI. JEDI was estimated to cost $10 billion and the contract had been awarded to Microsoft. The companies bidding on the contract sued each other, and the Pentagon, alleging corruption in the selection process. [Link]
