US News

  • Italy arrested a Russian executive at the request of the US. Putin condemned Italy for making the arrest. [Link]

North Korea

  • A North Korean diplomat says talks with the US will restart at the end of September. [Link]

Myanmar

  • In at least four different sites, the Myanmar government destroyed Rohingya villages and built government-run camps on the site of the villages. The camps are meant to house Rohingya who are returning from Bangladesh, so far all the Rohingya have refused to return. 700,000 Rohingya fled Myanmar in 2017 because of the army’s ethnic cleansing campaign.
