  • Guatemala declared a ‘state of siege – in five areas after three soldiers were killed by suspected drug traffickers. The state of siege limits protests, imposes curfews, and removes some limitations on arresting people. [Link]
  • A mayoral candidate was killed along with five other people in Colombia. Members of FARC are accused of carrying out the attack. [Link]

Hong Kong

  • Hong Kong leader says she will pull the extradition bill. The bill was the spark for protests in Hong Kong. [Link]

Middle East

  • Netanyahu pledges to annex Israeli settlements in the West Bank. [Link]
