Update II: This Times story makes it perfectly clear that Gen. Flynn had struck no deal with the Russians or anything of the sort. He was only supposedly “blackmailable” due to a bullshit “discrepancy” of whether sanctions had been mentioned on the call with the Russian apparently in any context whatsoever. And that Trump fired him because his repeated antics were hurting Trump’s TV Presidency’s ratings. So yeah, sorta the CIA used the Post to screw Flynn, but the die was cast when FBI went to interview him and complained to Trump that Flynn had lied. In other words, the Deep State didn’t force Flynn out. He’s a big dummy who got himself fired, mostly over nothing but being the jackass that he is. Good.
