CDC, FDA: The Enemy

by | Mar 19, 2020

From the Wall Street Journal: America Needed Coronavirus Tests. The Government Failed.

Why did the CDC prevent coronavirus testing when the outbreak started? The same reason the FBI, CIA and NSA in-effect allowed the September 11th attack on New York and Virginia; the same reason cities and states across America shortened yellow light times when they put in red light cameras: They are not your security force. They don’t care about you at all. They only care about themselves — their own bureaucratic power and influence. If your grandma has to die so some scumbag government employee can gain a little more power at his “job,” then that’s exactly what will happen.

The interesting thing too is that the states, doctors, hospitals and medical companies obeyed them instead of telling them to go throw themselves off of something tall. What are they going to do, send a SWAT team to murder you for protecting your patients? Okay, maybe. But probably not. Of course weeks later they went ahead and legalized the creation of new test by others — under their licencing and rules — anyway. Not that your doctor is allowed to test you unless all of the government-determined boxes have been checked. Oh you’ve only been to Hong Kong, but not mainland China? Sorry but not really sorry that all your symptoms aren’t good enough to get you tested.

We’d be better off if the doctors of America all would invade Atlanta and D.C., destroy these evil, negligent, murderous government departments and get back to work next week.

Just look at this part:

“At one critical juncture, just before the CDC opened up testing to more state laboratories in February, its officials clashed with state epidemiologists on the front lines of the response to the epidemic over the scale of testing.

“Despite news and official reports heralding the rapid spread of the virus in Japan and Hong Kong, on Feb. 22 CDC officials told state officials to refer for testing only patients showing symptoms who had travel histories in mainland China.

“When a top Minnesota epidemiologist pointed out in an email to CDC officials that agency director Robert Redfield had recently tweeted that doctors treating patients who had visited Hong Kong and Japan should consider “#COVID19,” the CDC’s deputy incident commander responded: “This tweet is being taken down.” And, in fact, it was.

“The CDC hasn’t responded to requests for comment on why the tweet was deleted.

“Hawaii’s top epidemiologist, Sarah Park, chimed in on the thread, saying the bar for testing should be lowered. Dr. Park pointed out that the CDC’s own travel website said travelers from Japan with symptoms should be considered for coronavirus even though the guidelines precluded testing.

“Rather than expand testing, the CDC replied that it was considering changes to its travel notices.

These people are no less the enemies of the American people than Jabat al-Nusra and Russiagate hoax leader John O. Brennan. And they deserve no better fate than he does.

At least we can hope that when the troops are called out on the streets some of these CDC and FDA job holders will accidentally disobey an order.

Update: Via Reason (Co-Diagnostics’ COVID-19 test, which costs just $10 per patient and produces results in only 90 minutes, is already in use in Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Greece, the Philippines, Thailand, Australia, Paraguay, Ecuador, Israel, South Africa and Canada. But in the U.S. it had only been available for certain entities and research institutions, per guidance from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). It was not until Tuesday night that the FDA gave Co-Diagnostics emergency approval to distribute the test more generally to U.S. hospitals.), Buzzfeed of all publications has a good write up on the CDC and FDA’s failures as well.
