Thank You, Mr. President

by | Jan 16, 2017

“With only days until Donald Trump takes office, the Obama administration on Thursday [January 12] announced new rules that will let the NSA share vast amounts of private data gathered without warrant, court orders or congressional authorization with 16 other agencies, including the FBI, the Drug Enforcement Agency, and the Department of Homeland Security,” writes Alex Emmons of The Intercept. Emmons links to this “Fact Sheet” from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

When will people of every political stripe learn that although you may like a president today, you may not like the person who holds the office tomorrow? So be wary of the accretion of government power, no matter who’s in office at the moment.
