Corporations Pull Twitter Ads After Promoted Tweets Appeared Near Child Porn Requests

An investigation conducted by the cybersecurity group Ghost Data found that advertisements from well-known companies appeared on Twitter accounts that promote child pornography. Several corporations have removed their ads from the social networking site in response. Ghost Data identified hundreds of accounts sharing underage pornographic content which Twitter did not remove.

White House Sent Multiple Threats to the Kremlin Via Backchannels

The Joe Biden administration has sent several warnings to Russia via backchannels regarding the possible use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine, the Washington Post reports. The White House’s messages to Russia have been intentionally nondescript to foster uncertainty in Moscow about what the US would do if Russia deployed its ultimate weapon.

US, EU Will Force Turkey to Implement Sanctions on Russia

Washington and Brussels will pressure Ankara to step up the economic war on Moscow, the Financial Times reported Thursday. Western officials say the Russian economy has been able to weather the Washington-led sanctions blitz partly because the Turkish economy is offering backdoors to Moscow. According to the diplomats, Turkish banks will now be forced to abandon the Russian Mir payment system.

Israel Firmly Rebukes White House’s Request to Review Policies After Death of American Journalist

Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid issued a stern response to a request from the Joe Biden administration. After the murder of Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, on Tuesday the State Department asked Tel Aviv to review its rules of engagement in the occupied West Bank. On Wednesday, Lapid fired back saying, “no one will dictate our rules of engagement to us.”

The West Claims Russia Is ‘Weaponizing Energy’ By Slowing Exports, After Pledging to Isolate Moscow

The White House has accused Russia of weaponizing energy by reducing gas exports to Europe. On Wednesday, Moscow announced that Nord Stream 1 would close, citing sanctions and maintenance as the cause. While Washington’s European partners have attempted to reduce their dependence on Russian energy exports, the continent’s leaders are warning their people of coming hardships.
