Law Enforcement Expansion and the ‘Green New Deal’

by | Feb 26, 2019

The “Green New Deal” will demand the expansion of law enforcement to the extent they may create a new federal agency. If the world is 12 years away from the point of no return, anyone who would seek to shirk these laws in the slightest will have to be dealt with.

If SWAT teams are currently being deployed to farms that commit the sin of selling “raw milk” to their neighbors, how will the family that refuses to part with granddad’s coal burning stove be treated? What about that lawn mower that is still being powered by fossil fuels?

Now let’s think bigger. The United States is by no means the nation producing the most pollution (I know, I know, be patient). If this is truly a worldwide emergency, it stands to reason that any State that will not fall in line must be stopped by any means necessary.

What if Malaysia refuses to comply? Indonesia? China? Russia? When politicians such as Alexandria Ocasio Cortez speak in the language of an imminent, global catastrophe, while taking into consideration the size and scope of the U.S. military (I’m including all law enforcement), people need to start asking what this world is going to look like liberty-wise while they tilt at windmills. If people are being caged and even executed by police for the crime of growing and consuming a plant, what happens when the fate of every life on the planet is invoked?

P.S., There are many reports stating the U.S. military is the biggest polluter on the globe.
